Team Suzuki Racing's Historical Success at the Bacolod GP of the Super Series Nationwide Championships
It's a historical back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back wins with 6 Championship titles for Team Suzuki-VMan at the Bacolod GP of the Super Series Nationwide Championships. The team dominated the race with 6 top podium wins from the Underbone to the Scooter categories! They were pumped as early as the practice session which brought impressive qualifying times landing them in pole positions and early grid places while maintaining these posts to the final race.
Three of these were secured by the team's frontrunner April King Mascardo who defended his title as the Underbone King once again at the Super Underbone Sealed and Open categories. He was joined by Eane Jaye Sobretodo and Jaypee Obedencio making the win a sweeping victory for Team Suzuki-VMan with their Raider R150 Fi's. Mascardo also topped the Super Scooter Sealed race which could have a been a 1-2 finish with Sobretodo had the latter not been accidentally involved in a collision with other riders.
2018 Underbone Rookie of the Year Mark Djereck Ondillio also showed his prowess in the RUGP Novice-Intermediate Underbone Sealed category taking home the top spot with Roel Rubin on the 2nd place making it another 1-2 finish for the team.
Suzuki's single make races – Raider Breed Wars and Skydrive Sport Cup also received very warm participation from the City of Smiles with 12 and 10 participants respectively. Continuing the trend of wins for Team Suzuki-VMan in these races were Rmand Salandanan and Nikko Nambatac who finished at the 1st and 2nd places at the Raider Breed Wars while only switching places for the Skydrive Sport Cup with Nambatac on the top spot followed by Salandanan. Polo Arellano landed on 3rd place for both races.
