More than 30 participants from the different automotive clubs in Davao City joined the whole day event last March 21. New participants joined the last year’s AutoCross drivers in driving their cars on the make-shift race track for their chance to win the different category titles.

Pietro Jaldon, the 2007 and 2008 Driver of the Year was again on hand to defend his title while new drivers from Team Reparo, GT Boys, and Gulf Speed Racing where there to challenge the returnees. But it was George Arquiza of team Petkars who won the Overall Champion of Davao’s round-1. Pietro Jaldon of Cruven-Seaoil clocks the first fastest time of the day at 1:03.97 in the Experience Modified-C class, he then beat his own time in the Open A Class at 1:03.33 then came George Arquiza clocks in .02 faster than Pietro Jaldon at 1:03.31 in the same class. Pietro Jaldon however has two more chances in the Open-B class to beat George Arquiza’a time, he fell short clocks in at 1:03.45 in the second heat.
