The second round of the Philippine Autocross Championship Series went underway last April 24 to 26, 2009 at the SM City Ilo-Ilo parking area. More than 40 participants joined the 8-category race with which included the All Volkswagen and the Girly Girl – All ladies Classes. Aside from the previous round’s participants, the three-day event brought in new participants and a bigger crowd of spectators.
In this round, Jun Carbrera, the highest pointing driver of the 1st round defended his crown as the fastest driver in Ilo-Ilo for the second time as new comers Rommel Mercado in a 1970 VW Beetle and Rey Terrence Buyco and his 1996 Nissan Sentra came out at the top of their categories.
Despite the sweltering heat of that day, the racers really put out their best skills and talent as they went around the track to get their best times of the day.
