HUGE TURN OUT IN THE FIRST PHILIPPINE AUTOCROSS RACE IN BACOLOD CITY

2010 Philippine Autocross Championship Series
Bacolod Race – Visayas 4th Round

Everything was huge during the first Philippine Autocross in Bacolod City, first it was a huge track, sporting a 200 meter stretch, with another 100 meters of high speed sweeping chicanes and a huge 8 turn at the end of each track. A huge turn out in terms of participants and almost half of it coming from Cebu City who were eyeing to get a share of the lead for the 2010 class champion and Driver of the year. Team Kartzone with two top drivers, Atty. Jess Garcia and Derrick Arculli were present during the race, DGL Motorsports brought their complete line up of drivers into this race, starting it off with David Lim, David Lim Jr., Mato Tan and from Bacolod AlexYao, Team NCR cebu also came in full force. Bacolod racers also came in full force with more than 30 drivers showed up with some racers from Iloilo who joined the two race.

Another fight to the finish between Cebu top three drivers, David Lim and Mato Tan of DGL Motorsports and Derrick Arculli of Kartzone, exchanging leads towards the end of the race. While Jong King of NCR manages to clock in a better time in at 1:29.71 in the special classes failed to continue his good run due to some problems of the car towards the end of the race. Toward the closing stages of the race, David Lim clocks in the fastest at 1:28.01, while Mato Tan clocks in Second at 1:30.33 and Derrick Arculli settled for 3rd at 1:31.88.

Derrick Arculli holds the most number of wins in the Novice class, poised to become the racer with most number of wins in the 2010 season will surely have his hands full in the last race of the year, a three-way winner take all final round of the 2010 Visayas Series Championships.
