HONDA ONE MAKE RACE BACOLOD CITY

Another exciting finish of the 20009 – 2010 Honda One Make race Underbone Circuit race Visyas – Mindanao series in Bacolod City.  The race marks another milestone for Honda Philippine Inc., in promoting grassroots racing in the region.  Cebu and Davao racers again meet face to face in the make shift high speed track in the old airport of the city.  The track features the longest stretch so far in all the Honda One Make race this season, the 135-Meter stretch made the riders get the most of the power of their bikes.

Keken Cabahug of Cyrus – Motroworld Racing dominated the 110 stock class once again using his Honda Wave Dash. He had a close race between Mark Capoy also from Cebu of Skut garage / Motorworld Racing, but Cabahug prevails in the end. Lyndon Requilme, sporting a faster Honda Beat, beat all the racers in the grid, he even had the fastest time lap of the day. Mark Capoy and Robert Miro followed 2nd and 3rd respectively.  Paks Gimotea of Team AJB Bacolod City, made his circuit racing Debut a success as he won the 125 beginner stock, outclassing Mark Capoy and Jess Louie Vega of Cebu City in the race.

Ernie Daguio Jr of Daguio Racing Team Davao made his presence felt again as he dominated the race in the open class, showing superb riding style that matches his powerful bike. Gary Caneda was also a force to reckon with as he was the closest rider to challenge Daguio in the opening stages of the race, Caneda settles for 2nd in both 110 & 125 Novice Open.

The race in Bacolod was a huge success! It was one of the most well attended in terms of participants and spectators, it also marks the start of circuit racing in the City.  The Event is made possible by Honda Philippines Inc., Honda Motorworld, & Du Ek Sam Inc., also made possible by Starting Line Motoring Magazine, Amity Medical team and the City of Bacolod.
