Exciting Kadayawan Race of the Regional Underbone Grand PrixThe Kadayawan race of the regional undebrone grand prix has the biggest turn out in terms of participants so far this year, over 108 entries joined round three of the 2010 RUGP season. Vingie Coloma of Motor R Republic is back in harness, winning three classes, the 4-AT Novice open, 125 Open and the 150 Open respectively. While Nino Cabatingan of Suzuki-Phoenix VMAN Racing won two races 115 Novice Open and the 4-Valve Open.National Motocross rider Shawn Lim of Davao Scooter Club won the 4-AT Beginners open while Roland King Ganotise of Suzuki-Phoenix VMAN Racing won the 115 Super Stock Beginner’s. Brother’s John Errol Paden and Sheldon Paden of Nanto System got a 1-2 finish in the 125 Beginner’s Open.It was a fierce battle between Nino Cabatingan and Heikki Gabuelo of Rhean Racing-Nats & Bikes in the last heat of the 4-Valve Open. Cabatingan race leader and Gabuelo in 2nd position battle wheel to wheel in the opening stages of Heat-2, Cabatingan’s rear tires slid in the second turn and Gabuelo failed to react hit the bike of Cabatingan, both riders fell off their bikes, while Erwin Begornia takes on the lead, Cabatingan first got up and continued racing currently on 4th position while Gabuelo having a hard time starting up his bike, eventually continued racing. Cabatingan and Gabuelo currently on 4th and 5th position respectively with five more laps to go manages to work their way up, finishes First and Second Consecutively taking on one bike to the other. There was no sign of Ernie Daguio Jr. of DRT who lead the Rider of the year championship points, who opted not to join the Kadayawan race.“It was indeed a huge turn out, and the crowd was great” jong uy race chairman said, “ I would like to thank all the racers who joined this race, it was really one of the best races this year so far” he added.
