A DRAMATIC FINAL ROUND OF THE PHILIPPINE AUTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES CEBU

The final round of the 2010 Philippine Autocross race was full of drama, if it was to be described literally and sign of things to happen in the 2011 Race Season. The competition in Cebu was indeed in the highest level during the final round of the series, for it was a three-way winner take all championship race, David Lim and Mato Tan for DGL Motorsports and Derrick Arculli of Kartzone.

Derrick Arculli and Justin Neri of Kartzone was exchanging leads in the closing stages of the race, until Mato Tan, David Lim Jr. and David Lim of DGL Motorsports changes the complexion of the race. David Lim clocks in the fastest time at 1:07.72 while Arculli’s is in 3rd overall with 1:08.77 and David Lim Jr in second at 1:08.69 before the final run of the day the Open-C class, Mato Tan uses his one final run to put the icing on the cake, finishes second overall clocking in at 1:08.15, sliding David Lim Jr to 3rd. It was the second 1-2-3 finish for DGL Motorsports since Autocross started in Cebu in 2007.

Derrick Arculli of Kartzone finishes with the most number of wins in the Novice, winning the Novice Stock B-C, Novice Modified A and C and he is poised of winning the Novice Driver of the year for Visayas. David Lim on the other hand wins his second Driver of the Year for Visayas and the first back to back win.
