Exciting 2010 Race season opener

The 2010 Regional Underbone Grand Prix Race Season unfolds last weekend at SM City Davao, over 100 racers and 5,000 race fans witness the exciting battle and this proves that the Davao racing scene is indeed growing, evidently since it started in 2007 there are two factory race teams from Manila who went all the way to join the race, Suzuki Philippines Racing team was the first one who joined the series in 2008 and followed in 2009, then its MCX Philippines this team for the Regional Underbone Grand Prix.
Jay-R Daguio has done it again, being the reigning 2009 Rider of the Year, Vingie Coloma really came close as the he was leading in the opening stages of the 125 Novice Open, but Daguio prevailed and continued his dominance in the 2nd heat of this class. Daguio also grabbed the 150 Open and the 4-Valve Open class. This race marked the third time a Manila race team has joined the race, Suzuki Philippines race team has participated in 2008 and 2009 and it was MCX Philippines time to join the race. Marlon Santos of MCX made his presence felt in the 115 Super Stock Beginners.
In the 4-AT Open, it was Raphael Dayao of Davao Scooter Club, sporting his Yamaha Mio, taking on team mate Dennis Jeno Malasa with a huge lead in the opening stages of Heat one and two. Romeo Osigan Jr. of Spyder-Suzuki-Phoenix-VMAN Racing team dominated the 115 Novice Open class making a head start in this class, since that Osigan is the defending champion of the 115 Novice Open.
“What a way to open the race season here in Davao” said Jong Uy Race Chairman and Executive Producer of The Racing Line, “It was really a good turnout specially the crowd even though it’s really very hot” he added.
