2009 REGIONAL UNDERBONE GRAND PRIX ROUND-5 Davao

(TOP PHOTO) Ernie Daguio Jr. dominates the last round RUGP Dvo The last round of the Regional Underbone Grand Prix in Davao was a blast, even though it was the historic fight of Pacquiao Vs Cotto last November 15, 2009, it also has an attendance of 100 plus registered riders and thousands of spectators watch in the sideline as the fastest riders in town speed there way for the last race of the year. Going into this race, less than 10-points separates Romeo Osigan Jr. of Suzuki-VMAN-Spyder racing, Ernie Daguio Jr. of JR Upholstery-Honda Powercycle and Vingie Coloma of Honda Desmark-MMP, and in this last round of the series, all championship points will be doubled.

In the 100-115 Super Stock Novice, Romeo Osigan of SUZUKI-VMAN-SPYDER Racing team sealed his victory as cruises smoothly on the track without any problem followed by his team mates Nino Cabatingan and Rico Cagnaan. A one, two, three finish for the blue & yellow colored team.

In the 100-115 Super Stock beginners class, the eleven year old prodigy of Suzuki-VMAN-Spyder Racing April King Mascardo took the checkered flag for the first time in his 3-race experience. The crowd was in jubilation as the eleven year old rider made an overtaking move and never looked back against Team Underground rider Don Diapen with four more laps to go in the final heat of the race.

Both Vingie Coloma of Honda Desmark-MMP and Ernie Daguio Jr of Jr Upholstery-Honda Powercycle won two race classes each the 125 Beginners Open and 150 Open for Coloma and 125 Novice Open and the 4-Valve Open for Daguio Jr. This double win strengthens their championship point standing for the 2009 Davao Rider of the year.
