2009 – 2010 HONDA ONE MAKE RACE VISAYAS – MINDANAO SERIES

The stage is set for a brand new race series that will be happening in the Visayas – Mindanao area.  The Honda One make race undebrone circuit race series, this is a ten (10) race series that will be happening in the Visayas and Mindanao area.  With the vision of promoting a healthy motorcycle culture in the country by developing motor sports activities and development of riders as the grassroots level, Honda Philippines introduced the Honda One Make Races in the year 2005. Honda One Make Race brought together racing enthusiasts and provided aspiring racers a safer and controlled venue to showcase their riding skills. This is Honda’s way of letting its customers experience the “Joy of Riding” a Honda motorcycle.

The upcoming Visayas and Mindanao Honda One Make Race Series will provide an opportunity to racers in these areas to further improve their skills. With the strong support from its network of dealers, Honda Philippines, Inc. is very optimistic that this activity will be a huge success!

Underbone Circuit Racing or road racing is one of the fastest growing Motorsports in the country today and by doing the Honda One Make Race Underbone Circuit Racing Visayas – Mindanao Series, Honda Philippines Inc., is now in the forefront of developing the sports further in a higher level, providing thousands of Honda Motorcycle riders & owners a chance to develop and hone their skills in racing and as well as riding, providing them a professional race series that promises to be exciting and exhilarating.  This is also one way of showing thousands of motorcycle racing enthusiasts that there is a proper & safe venue and event for them to show their skills in riding and not in the City streets and hoping in the future, through this race will be able to develop a National Champion that hails from the south.  The race series is sporting a five (5) category series which are the 100-115 super stock beginners, 125 super stock beginners, 4AT open (all Honda beat), 100-115 novice open & 125 novice open.

IN the opening race in Cebu city, held at Kartzone, it was a Cebu – Davao battle in the person of Lyndon Requilme of Team MAC Racing davao and Ernie Daguio Jr. of Honda powercycle Davao.  In the 125 open 2^nd heat, Daguio was leading all the way until the last turn of the final lap of the race, Requilme came out of nowhere as he uses Daguio’s slip stream and overtook Daguio just a few meters away from the finish line, making it the most exciting race class in the opening race in Cebu.  The race now shifts to Davao City on November 8, 2009.
